“The Blogsquatcher” – The Archives
August 28, 2008 2:34 PM
First, don’t miss part 3 of my interview with Nick Redfern, down one post. Very thought provoking interview overall.
But I wanted to announce that, starting next Thursday at 11pm Eastern time, Billy Willard and I will be hosting a new bigfoot-themed blogtalk radio show, called Sasquatch Watch Radio. Our first guest is going to be William Dranginis of Virginia Bigfoot Research. I will be serving as co-host, phone guy, designated chat-room reader, and unintentional comedy relief. You won’t want to miss it!
Note: Eventually, we hope to get an earlier time slot, but it’ll take at least 200 listeners to get the “prime time” slots, so that’s where you guys come in..
AND ANOTHER THING that is on my mind right now: Have any of you seen the new technology that lets you stream video from your cell phone over the internet? It’s called QIK, and it’s already being used by people. How soon until we see our first QIK bigfoot movie? Or even, how soon will we have QIK running while we go out on expeditions? Would seem to have applications in the bigfoot world.
A LITTLE LATER: I’m not familiar with this news agency, but here’s an update on the”yeti hairs” from India.
Ian Redmond, a biologist and expert in ape conservation, said the hairs found in the Indian jungle resembled samples collected by the conqueror of Everest, Sir Edmund Hillary, in the 1950s.
“Under the microscope, they look slightly human, slightly like an orang-utan and slightly like the hairs brought back by Edmund Hillary,” Dr Redmond said.
“These hairs remain an enigma. They could be a new species, but the DNA tests will hopefully tell us more.”
AND SOME NEWS from my home state of Virginia: mountain lions are being spotted in Scott county:
The last confirmed sighting of a cougar in the state dates back to 1882. But over the past three weeks Timesnews.net has spoken with several Scott County residents, all believing they’ve seen big cats roaming their hills.
Weber City’s Bobby Clark, 66, says he’s heard the haunting scream-like cries of these cougars, that, aside from a small population in Florida, are supposedly not located east of the Rockies. He identifies people who have seen the animals along the Holston River, but none want to go on the record.
Add to that, a new bigfoot sighting in Virginia just went up on the BFRO.
