I got some new information from Mr. Young about the video and the circumstances of the follow-up reference pic:
There is a tree directly in back of the one to the front right, that is the tree the critter jumped into.
Yes the angle is off because it is a different camera with a different focal type.
The branches are missing because there had been about 3 little balsum trees (6 foot high) in between my wife and the camera, so I cut them out to see her better, she would not go back there with me at night to use the thermal for a comparison, otherwise I would not have had to remove the little trees in the way, her heat signature would have shown through as well.
The vid was taken by me as I and another guy walked along testing a new rack system for the thermal and recorder, as we walked along I panned back an forth and when Inoticed a heat signature, I then started to record, that is the footage, and it is uncut and in its total length.
If you look close, when I pan to the right after it leaps, you can see slight heat signatures as it bounds through the trees to the right, it was so fast it was hard to follow.
It made no noise at all as it moved along.
