If you can get a recording it would go a long ways into proving what you have is wolves or something else that is reported in your area. I am always ready to listen to sound recordings.

I have seen wolves, or at least wolf/ some coyote in our area of il. northern kane county and have pictures of them. we have heard them at night. the long deep sound of a wolf howl, and came across one in the woods by our house, eating a deer. we know there are wolves living in il.

I was wondering, did Red Riding Hood, ever know The Boy Who Cried Wolf, Peter, because in the film Red Riding Hood played by Amanda Seyfield, his name was Peter and my mum reminded me about it, so I was just wondering, did they ever know each other??

Very interesting. I am in the same boat as those coyote hunters you where talking to. I have heard this sound before while out hunting and have always discounted it as being a different sounding coyote, as the times when I heard it there where regular sounding coyotes howeling right after it or before it.
